Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the best rental home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Gorgeous Ocean View King Suite w\/ Balcony + Onsite Pool has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
