How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- To book the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Gorgeous Oceanfront Suite! 1Br Condo\/ Dog friendly has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Advice for a great stay:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
