Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local tours and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacations - 2 Bedroom Ocean Front has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, email the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Have a great stay:
- Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
