New for 2023, new central AC unit and wall to wall carpeting throughout the home. Clean, fresh and up to date. Includes wifi and central AC, some places do not...Freshly painted [2021]the entire inside. New appliances, new furnishings, new linens. The golf cart has a new motor, batteries and tires. The place is ready for visitors. ALWAYS INCLUDES GOLF CART. We purchased this property in 2002 as a place to take the kids each summer. My husband and I appreciate the local eateries and shopping. The kids adore the beach, pool and campground recreational activities. The campground has activities for all ages and it is great family fun. We continue to savor our home away from home and now share it with many repeat renters. We include the golf cart with the home, because everybody knows you gotta have one when you're at Ocean Lakes!
2021 update: We've removed a double bed from the master bedroom and replaced it with a desk/vanity. The master suite is much more roomy as a result. We've also added a new couch and recliner, not yet pictured.
We recommend our place for 2 or 3 adults plus kids. We don't recommend 4 adults plus kids.

Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:
Get the best rental home value:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Gotta have a golf cart and wifi ~ always included. Next availability in August. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Additional considerations:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
