New for 2023, new central AC unit and wall to wall carpeting throughout the home. Clean, fresh and up to date. Includes wifi and central AC, some places do not...Recently painted [2021]the entire inside. New appliances, new furnishings, new linens. The golf cart has a new motor, batteries and tires. The place is ready for visitors. ALWAYS INCLUDES GOLF CART. We purchased this property in 2002 as a place to take the kids each summer. My husband and I savor the local eateries and shopping. The kids appreciate the beach, pool and campground recreational activities. The campground has activities for all ages and it is great family fun. We continue to appreciate our home away from home and now share it with many repeat renters. We include the golf cart with the home, because everybody knows you gotta have one when you're at Ocean Lakes!
2021 update: We've removed a double bed from the master bedroom and replaced it with a desk/vanity. The master suite is much more cavernous as a result. We've also added a new couch and recliner, not yet pictured.
We recommend our place for 2 or 3 adults plus kids. We don't recommend 4 adults plus kids.

  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses.   • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
