Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Coastal Serenity: Ocean View 2 Bdrm Condo 15th Flr has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Additional considerations:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
- At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
