Tips to get the very best vacation home experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to choose the best rental home:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Great Oceanview Suite @ Prime Loc, Dogs are OK! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
