Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book the bestrental:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Immaculate 2 Bedroom Condo On The Golden Mile- Ocean Forest Villas A-317-Sleeps 4! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
