Rental booking tips and tricks:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your group decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Incredible Oceanfront View Condo 1bd\/1ba has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book your home. - Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- During arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective.
