Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the perfect rental:
- Start by having your family agree to the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Incredible Oceanfront View Condo 1bd\/1ba has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
