Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • First, have your group agree to date ranges and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. LA8 Cozy condo right on the ocean at \"Landmark\" has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
