How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your rental Search:

- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Annie's Oceanview Studio,Scenic Views,Pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
