Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

How to choose the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Start by choosing the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Landmark Resort unit 1114 is located on the 11th floor. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. If not, email the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
