Getting the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Finding the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • First, have your group choose a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Landmark Resort unit 1114 is located on the 11th floor. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. text the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
