Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, picking, and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. ***You Have Seen the Rest, Now Book a Stay at the Best!*** *Renovated 2021* has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. If not, call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Additional considerations:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
