Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Magnolia North Unit 104 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
