Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- To book the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Selecting the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by having your group agree to a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Magnolia Point Unit 201 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
During your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
