How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by having your family agree to the best dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Maisons Sur Mer -Oceanfront Luxury has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you crave, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
