Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
Get the best rental home value:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Meridian Plaza, pools, lovely decor, new, nice! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
