Our top Rental home tips and tricks:
Finding the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- To start, have your group commit to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Seafaring Adventures Cabana Room 3rd Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
- Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
