Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Myrtle Beach Resort 4106 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or applied to your contract.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
