Booking the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Myrtle Beach Resort A-332
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. If not, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
