Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Myrtle Beach Resort A0427 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is optimal for your family.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
