We had our family reunion with 26 people and used 5 of our 2-Bedroom condos. It was an exceptional experience! The kids hung out and played video games in one condo. The grandparents took another condo and were able to sleep early and wake up early. We designated a condo as the "cooking" place. We hired a person to come in the morning for 4 hours to prepare breakfast and clean up the kitchen. We had lunch and drinks by the pool with Hilton poolside service. The kids used the body boards to surf on the beach. The adults sat on chairs with the beach umbrellas. The beach was wide open enough for the kids to play spike ball and football. Some went golfing while others went shopping at Tanger Outlets. Later in the day, the kids went go-carting and putt putt golfing. In the evening we had dinner and watched the sunset. We cooked a few dinners and got pizza delivered one nighttime. We made reservations for a nice dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. There was no family drama because we all had enough space and didn't get on each other's nerves. It was really one of our best family vacations.
We would like to offer the same opportunity to you. How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- First and foremost, have your group decide on trip dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 27 condos in Royale Palms for Reunions & Outings has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for your stay:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
