Finding the best rental home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose and book your Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. A420 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Cozy Condo with Nice Ocean View has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
