How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by selecting your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Cozy Condo with Nice Ocean View A420 at The Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or applied to your contract.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Tips for your stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
