Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.
Planning, picking, and booking your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select dates and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Shoreline Serenity by the Sea - B117 at the Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If not, contact the host before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
