Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation property experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and choose a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Myrtle Beach Resort B0452 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
