Our top Rental property booking tips:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Myrtle Beach Resort FS6312 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your trip.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
