Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Myrtle Beach Resort RT0716 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
