How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Myrtle Beach Resort RT1615 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
