Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your Search:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Nicely Updated Condo with Great Amenities Unit 4107 in the Five Seasons has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
