Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Finding the perfect vacation rental:
- Select a group leader, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Myrtle Beach Resort Unit 6201 - Ocean Getaway has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
