Strategies to get the optimal rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • To get the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Finding the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • To start, have your group decide on dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Myrtle Beach SC..Kingston Plantation..5 minute walk to beach..ground floor villa has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
