Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation property experience:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First, have your family choose trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Wyndham Seawatch Condo Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
