Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting the best vacation rental:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Myrtlewood, Magnolia Pointe, Golf, Close to Beach, Ripken Fields Close, Wifi has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If not, contact the host before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
