Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your rental search:
- Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. **New** - Spring\/Summer Book Now! Oceanfront, What a View!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
Advice for a terrific stay:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
