Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
Sticking to a rental home budget:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to select the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. St James Park 13D in Kingston resort, Pools, Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More considerations:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. text the host immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
