Vacation rental booking tips:
Getting the best rental home value:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and picking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a group leader, choose your dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Pet Friendly l 3 Min Walk to Beach l 9 Palms has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If not, reach out to the property management company before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
