Booking the best vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning and picking the bestrental:
- To start, have your group agree to date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. New, Beautiful Decor, Meridian Plaza, Pools, Nice! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
Tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
