Our top Rental home tips and tricks:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the best rental:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. New Direct Oceanfront @Sea Mist, Remodeled, Pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. If not, contact the property management company before booking your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review.
