How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose and book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. New Honeymoon King Suite, Oceanfront, Heated Pools has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Does your group require special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
