Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking a perfectvacation home:
- Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. OCEAN FRONT WITH THE DOLPHINS ~ 1B\/1.5B Condo-10th floor has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If not, call the host before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
