How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Forest Villas Unit B116 - Ocean view has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
