Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your rental search:
- Select your vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. NEW! Short Walk to Beach, Private Pool, Fast Wifi! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Know before you go:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective.
