Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the perfect rental home:
- First, have your family decide on the best dates and a max budget.
- KC5D has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips for a great stay:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
