How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to a budget:
- Book your vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Nicely Updated Ocean View 2 Bedroom \/ 2 Bath Condo! Sand Dunes 2745\/2746 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your family.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
