Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning and choosing the perfectrental home:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Ocean Breeze Condo with an Amazing View 1bd\/ 1ba has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
