Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 9th-floor oceanfront snowbird-friendly condo with AC, pool, hot tub, & W\/D has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
