Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Ocean Forest Plaza Penthouse???? Pool ???? has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
