Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect rental home:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Ocean Front Condo with Great Views 1bd\/1ba 11308 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or may be applied to your contract.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
