How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking the bestvacation home:
- First, have your family decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Ocean Lakes - Site M28 Walk to Water Park\/Pool & Arcade! Beach Views! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your contract.
Know before you go:
- Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
