Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Beautiful Ocean Front 2 Bedroom Villa! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
