How to book the best vacation property experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local tours and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Select vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Ocean Oasis 12th Floor Two Queen Oceanfront Room has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
